Awards Gala

Are you an avid reader or and aspiring writer? Come meet real live Canadian Christian writers (yes, we exist!). Find out who published the best novels, non-fiction books, magazine articles, poems and scripts in 2009. Get dressed up. Applaud the winners. The Word Guild 2010 Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, June 16th, at 7:30 p.m. at World Vision Canada’s headquarters, 1 World Drive, Mississauga, Ontario.

The premier national event honouring Canadian writers who are Christian presents the Leslie K. Tarr Award for outstanding career achievement, the Partnership Award for outstanding support of Canadian writers who are Christian, and The Word Guild Awards for the best books, novels, article, columns, poems, and song lyrics published in 2009. This year will also see the first winner of the new Grace Irwin Award.

This is a black-tie event, so we are requesting tuxedos or dark suits with ties for men, formal or semi-formal wear for women. There will be a stand-up reception following the awards ceremony.
