God Uses Ink Awards
Never before published Canadian writers who are Christian, including teenagers and young adults, can win prizes in The God Uses Ink Novice Writing Contest. First prize winners will receive free registration to attend Write! Canada, a value of nearly $400.
The God Uses Ink Novice Contest for 2010 is now closed
The topic for the 2010 contest was "Ignite the creative side of your brain", the theme for this year's Write! Canada conference to be held in Guelph, Ontario from June 17 to 19, 2010. Contest submissions can be in any writing format, including short stories, poems and nonfiction articles. Independent judges who are experienced writers and editors will evaluate the entries and provide helpful feedback.
Entries had to be received by March 15, 2010. The contest is now closed. It will reopen in September, 2011 for next year.
This contest is designed to encourage and recognize new and aspiring writers. For the purposes of this competition, “unpublished” means you have never been paid for something you have written.
Prizes are available in three age categories: teenagers (ages 14 to 19); adults (ages 20 to 39); and age 40 and over.
First prize: Registration for Write! Canada Christian Writers’ Conference, June 17 to 19, 2010 in Guelph, Ontario. (approximate value nearly $400)
Second prize: A $100 gift certificate for The Word Guild (can be used for conference registration, membership, etc.).
